Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Associate Project Manager to support Higher Education clients across the UK. The role focuses on delivering construction, capital projects, refurbishment, fit-out, infrastructure, and estate development programmes.

You will manage project delivery from planning through to handover, coordinating clients, consultants, contractors, and teams, while driving commercial outcomes and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction or built environment.
• Experience delivering capital projects, refurbishment, fit-out, infrastructure or estate development.
• Strong client management, commercial awareness and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience managing complex projects in live operational environments.
• Experience with Higher Education clients is preferred.
• Bid writing, tender management or account management is desirable.
• Experience delivering laboratory, research or specialist technical buildings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction and capital projects for Higher Education clients from inception through to handover and close out.
• Manage project budgets, programmes, risks, governance processes, and contract compliance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to meet objectives.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting account development and long-term partnerships.
• Contribute to bid submissions, tender responses and proposal development.
• Drive high-quality project delivery in line with programme, cost, quality and risk targets.
