Job summary

Balfour Beatty is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead delivery of a major 132/400kV substation project at Keadby, North Lincolnshire. The role focuses on safety, schedule, cost and quality, guiding multidisciplinary teams through design, construction, commissioning and handover.

You will own project performance, foster client relationships and drive continuous improvement across governance, risk management and delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects in the power/utilities sectors.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary delivery teams and manage budgets.
• Strong governance, risk management and programme controls experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, successful delivery of a major HV substation project from inception to completion.
• Own performance across safety, programme, commercial, quality and operations.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams including PMs, engineers, construction and design managers.
• Build strong client, stakeholder and supply chain relationships.
• Drive programme certainty; align resources, procurement and construction with delivery objectives.
• Lead project reviews, governance, reporting and risk management processes.
• Ensure robust financial forecasting, cost control and reporting.
• Promote Zero Harm and high health, safety and environmental standards.
• Identify and implement opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
• Support growth and development of future leaders within the team.
