Job summary

Hunter Philips Executive Search is seeking an experienced Site Manager to deliver high voltage grid infrastructure across the UK. The role focuses on safe, quality delivery of HV substation works, coordinating AIS/GIS installation, maintenance and commissioning while managing subcontractors, clients and project teams. Extensive travel to project locations is required, with long hours as schedules demand.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in high-voltage substations and primary plant.
• Experience with AIS and/or GIS installation and construction.
• Proven track record leading site teams, subcontractors and field activities.
• Solid understanding of QA and site safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day site operations and coordinate field teams and subcontractors.
• Oversee the installation, maintenance and commissioning of HV AIS and GIS equipment.
• Ensure works are delivered in line with technical, quality and safety requirements.
• Act as a key site contact for clients, project teams and product specialists.
• Identify, report and manage technical issues and non-conformities.
• Maintain accurate site, quality and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant UK safety regulations, including CDM requirements.
