Job summary

Brindley Group is seeking an experienced High Voltage Vehicle Repair Battery Engineer to diagnose, repair, test and maintain HV battery systems in EVs and hybrids. You will diagnose faults, safely isolate HV systems, and perform pack removal and reassembly, ensuring compliance with safety standards across a range of vehicle models.

The role requires strong electrical and diagnostic experience, knowledge of BMS and battery technology, and a commitment to safe working practices on high‑voltage

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with high-voltage vehicle systems, EVs or hybrid vehicles.
• Strong understanding of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
• Experience diagnosing electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and test instruments.
• Knowledge of lithium-ion battery technology and battery management systems.
• Understanding of HV isolation, safe working procedures and electrical safety principles.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, circuit diagrams and technical information.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to fault diagnosis.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults within high‑voltage EV and hybrid vehicle battery systems.
• Safely isolate, de‑energise and make HV systems safe before repair work.
• Inspect, test and repair lithium‑ion battery packs and components.
• Use diagnostic systems to identify faults and verify correct operation.
• Maintain accurate repair records and technical documentation.
