Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced High Voltage Design Engineer for an office-based role in Shropshire. You will lead the design and development of HV power supplies and HV systems, from concept through to manufacture, across defence-related projects and beyond.

The role involves producing schematics, calculations and technical documentation, plus HV testing, commissioning and fault-finding, with potential mentoring responsibilities within a skilled engineering team.

Qualifications

• Electrical, Electronics or Power Electronics engineering background.
• Strong experience designing HV power supplies or HV systems.
• Knowledge of HV components, insulation and power electronics.
• Experience with electrical design, calculations and testing.

High Voltage Design Engineer

Shropshire - Office based

Are you an experienced Electronics Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Power Electronics Engineer with High Voltage design experience looking to take ownership of complex engineering projects?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist engineering business working on high voltage power supplies and associated electronic systems. You'll play a key role in the design, development, testing, and production of specialist HV products, working across the full project lifecycle from concept through to manufacture.

This role offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging customer-led and defence-related projects, while taking on technical leadership and mentoring responsibilities within a highly skilled engineering team.

The Role

• Design and develop high voltage power supplies and HV systems.

The Person

• Electrical, Electronics or Power Electronics engineering background.

Strong technical problem-solving skills.

British citizenship and successful BPSS screening is required due to the sensitive defence-related projects involved.
