Howden Group Services Limited is offering a High Net-Worth Insurance Apprenticeship Programme in Manchester. Start date September 2027. Salary £23,000, duration 18 months, with a permanent role from day one while completing the programme.

Duration: 18 months (you’ll join us in a permanent role from day one while completing an 18-month development programme)

What you’ll be doing

• Learn the foundations of high net-worth motor and home insurance, and how an Account Handler supports clients.
• Build your confidence speaking with clients and understanding their individual insurance needs.
• Help the team manage communications with insurers and underwriters to find appropriate insurance solutions for clients.
• Learn how to manage client enquiries and provide clear, accurate information.
• Learn how amendments to insurance policies are managed as well as the policy renewals process.
• Develop strong relationships and provide a professional and personal service.
• Support with maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records.

You’ll gain real experience, work towards a recognised qualification and build skills that will shape your future. Our Private Clients team helps high net‑worth individuals protect some of their most valuable possessions. From luxury homes and high‑performance vehicles to unique and high‑value assets, the team works closely with clients to understand their needs and arrange tailored insurance solutions. Join our energetic and high-performing team and learn how to build trusted client relationships, provide an exceptional service and help people protect the things that matter most to them.

You’ll join Howden in a permanent role and complete an 18-month development programme designed to develop your technical knowledge, professional skills and confidence to kick start your career.

Who are we looking for

No insurance experience is needed; we’ll teach you everything you need to know! You'll be: A confident communicator who enjoys speaking with different people. Able to build rapport and develop trusted relationships. Passionate about delivering an excellent service to clients. Resilient and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Organised and able to manage several tasks at the same time. Positive, enthusiastic and willing to get involved. Motivated by goals and keen to build a long-term career. Comfortable working with clients who may have high expectations.

To be eligible for our apprenticeship, you must

• Have the full and unrestricted right to work in the UK.
• Have lived permanently in the UK for the last 3 years.
• Have achieved a grade C/4 in GCSE English and Maths.
• Not already hold a qualification that significantly overlaps with the content of this apprenticeship.
