Job summary

Howden is offering a High Net-Worth Insurance Apprenticeship in Amersham. You’ll start with a structured induction in our Private Clients team, then handle client inquiries, learn policy amendments and renewals, and build professional relationships with insurers and clients.

You’ll join on a permanent basis and complete an 18-month development programme designed to grow technical knowledge and confidence for a long career in insurance.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
• Interest in high net-worth motor and home insurance.
• No overlapping qualification with content of this apprenticeship.

From luxury homes and high-performance vehicles to unique and high-value assets, the team works closely with clients to understand their needs and arrange tailored insurance solutions. Join our energetic and high-performing team and learn how to build trusted client relationships, provide an exceptional service and help people protect the things that matter most to them. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across high net-worth motor and home insurance while working alongside experienced colleagues, insurers and underwriters. You’ll join Howden on a permanent role and complete an 18-month development programme designed to develop your technical knowledge, professional skills and confidence to kick start your career.

What you’ll be doing?

• You will begin with a structured induction before joining our Private Clients team, where you will work alongside experienced colleagues and gradually take on more responsibility.
• Learn the foundations of high net-worth motor and home insurance, and how an Account Handler supports clients.
• Build your confidence speaking with clients and understanding their individual insurance needs.
• Help the team manage communications with insurers and underwriters to find appropriate insurance solutions for clients.
• Learn how to manage client enquiries and provide clear, accurate information.
• Learn how amendments to insurance policies are managed as well as the policy renewals process.
• Develop strong relationships and provide a professional and personal service.
• Support with maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records.

To be eligible for our apprenticeship, you must:

• Have the full and unrestricted right to work in the UK.
• Have lived permanently in the UK for the last 3 years.
• Have achieved a grade C/4 in GCSE English and Maths.
• Not already hold a qualification that significantly overlaps with the content of this apprenticeship.
