McLaren Automotive Limited is seeking a High Level Control Strategies Engineer to lead HLCS development for active and semi-active systems affecting vehicle dynamics, particularly chassis control. You will bridge Dynamics and Controls, run simulations, and prototype production-ready software in collaboration with the Controls Department.

The role requires a Mechatronics/Automotive Engineering degree, strong vehicle dynamics knowledge, and hands-on experience with Matlab/Simulink and VI Car Real

Qualifications

• Mechatronics/Automotive Engineering degree required.
• Excellent knowledge of vehicle dynamics and controls.
• Experience in Dynamics Controls at OEM or automotive supplier.

Responsibilities

• Target setting and development of HLCS for active and semi-active chassis systems.
• Link Dynamics attribute team with the Controls development team.
• Conduct concept work in Simulation to evaluate strategies vs vehicle dynamics indexes.
• Co-design rapid prototyping software with Controls Department for production readiness.
• Create a Matlab/Simulink high-level controller and implement model-based control in VI-Car Real Time.
