Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in North Tyneside is seeking a dynamic High Intensity Therapist on a fixed-term basis to deliver CBT within a primary care setting. You will support clients with moderate to complex mental health issues, with extensive supervision and professional development.

The post sits in the Talking Therapies service, offering a blended model of home-based virtual sessions and on-site work at Northumbria bases, with scope for part-time or job-share arrangements

Qualifications

• Graduate-level qualification in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, or psychology with postgraduate training in CBT/EMDR/IPT to at least Masters level.
• Accredited with, or working towards accreditation with BABCP.
• Qualification in clinical supervision.
• Other qualifications to deliver IAPT-compliant high intensity therapies (e.g. IPT/EMDR).

Responsibilities

• Provide high intensity CBT interventions in primary care settings.
• Role model compassionate leadership to shape collective leadership practices.
• Manage caseload and contribute to team learning and quality improvement.
• Engage in multi-disciplinary collaboration and report to referrers as needed.
