Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc in Northampton is seeking an experienced HGV driver to join our team. You will drive to planned collection locations, move and empty waste containers, and complete daily vehicle checks as part of our driver operations.

You will input information into the onboard system, keep paperwork up to date, and ensure compliance with traffic laws. A can-do attitude, time management, and teamwork are essential; previous waste industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence valid and in good standing.
• CPC/Digi card up to date.
• Can-do attitude with strong time management.
• Team player to ensure smooth collections.
• Desirable: experience in the Waste Industry.

Responsibilities

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving and emptying multiple waste containers.
• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes.
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook.
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily.
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads.
• Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up.
