Job summary

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an HGV Driver to join Veolia's waste collection team on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 48 hours per week, Monday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Key responsibilities include driving to planned locations, performing daily vehicle checks, and ensuring all paperwork is up to date. Essential requirements are Class C licence with CPC/DIGI, a can-do attitude, and strong time management.

• Drive to planned collection locations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks as per driver handbook.
• Keep paperwork up to date and submitted daily.

• Ensure the carriageway is left clean and spills are cleaned.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving to planned collection locations.
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook.
• Ensuring all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily.
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads.
• Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up.

Essential Requirements

• Class C (Cat C) licence and some previous driving experience. If you're newly qualified, we also want to hear from you.
• Up to date CPC / DIGI card
• A can do attitude and strong time management skills are also key.
• Being a team player is key to ensuring our collections run smoothly
