Job summary

QS Recruitment is seeking an HGV1 driver for ongoing temporary work across the UK. You will operate curtain-sided or box trailers to RDC/NDC sites with minimal manual handling. New passes welcome!

A typical day involves collecting one trailer and making one drop before returning to base. Start times are between 05:00 and 07:00, Monday to Friday. Closing date is 31/08/2026.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence is required.
• CPC and Digi Tacho card required.
• Class C+E entitlement is required.

Responsibilities

• Drive curtain-sided or box trailers to RDC/NDC sites across the UK.
• No heavy manual handling beyond opening/closing curtains.
• Complete daily trailer drop and return to base; adhere to schedule.

New passes welcome! No handball, HGV1 trunking paying £17ph PAYE with holidays!

Working as a HGV 1 driver you will be driving curtain sided or box trailers to various RDC / NDC’s in the country. No handball is involved other than opening and shutting curtains.

A typical day within this role will involve collecting 1 trailer and making 1 drop before returning to base.

Duration: The successful applicant can absolutely expect ongoing work!

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: Earn up to £21 per hour via umbrella!Alternatively, we can pay £17 per hour PAYE with 28 days of holiday pro rata.Please note we are unable to offer visa sponsorships

Working Hours: Monday to Friday with starts from 05:00 - 07:00
