Job summary

Ford & Slater Limited in Leeds is seeking an HGV Workshop Controller to lead the busy workshop. The role involves scheduling, supervising maintenance and diagnostics for commercial vehicles, with a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern from 6am to 6:30pm.

We require experience as a Workshop Controller in the HGV sector, knowledge of DVSA documentation, and up-to-date health and safety practices. The position offers opportunities for training through the DAF Academy and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Experience as Workshop Controller in HGV or related sectors.
• Experience servicing and repairing trucks to DVSA standards.
• Knowledge of basic Health & Safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and supervise maintenance, repair and overhaul of Commercial Vehicles.
• Organize service and repair documentation to meet company standards and legal requirements.
• Monitor housekeeping and compliance with statutory requirements across the workshop.
• People management, performance and absence management responsibilities.
• Overall responsibility for workshop performance and service levels.
