Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a qualified HGV Vehicle Technician for its Leeds workshop. Join the UK's largest fleet operator, maintaining a varied fleet of HGVs and commercial vehicles with a comprehensive training plan and excellent pension benefits.

The role offers a 39.5 hour week, overtime potential, and shift allowances on night and mid-shift patterns. You will perform inspections, diagnostics and repairs across HGVs, with access to specialist tools in a modern workshop.

Qualifications

• IMI Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Own toolkit for standard repairs.
• Full manual UK driving licence (HGV preferred).
• Flexible to service demands and shift rota.
• Experience as an HGV Technician or Vehicle Technician.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and repairs across a range of HGVs, trailers and related equipment.
• Use your own toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair heavy goods vehicles.
• Access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in modern, fully equipped workshops.
