Job summary

Lanes Group, a leading nationwide utility services provider, is seeking HGV Class 1 drivers to join our Tankering Division on a full-time basis at Goddards Green, West Sussex. You will operate vacuum tankers and manage sites with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Hours are 4 days on, 4 days off, totaling 40.25 hours per week, with a salary of £35,678 per year. We expect a valid HGV licence (class 1 or 2) and a current CPC with tachograph compliance.

Qualifications

• HGV class 1 or class 2 licence.
• Valid CPC and up-to-date tachograph.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV-mounted vacuum and tankers for drainage and waste management tasks.
• Independently manage job sites, ensuring safe practices and high-quality work.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
• Accurately complete job reports and system updates.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance, reporting faults promptly.
• Maintain high health and safety standards, including PPE use and regulatory compliance.
