Job summary

Lanes Group in West Sussex is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 driver to operate vacuum tankers on our wastewater contract. This full-time role offers 4 nights on, 4 nights off, totaling about 40.25 hours per week, with a salary of £42,814 per annum.

You will manage sites, ensure safety compliance, perform daily checks and provide reliable, professional service to customers while maintaining high health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 or 2 driving licence required.
• Valid CPC in date required.
• Up to date tachograph knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV-mounted vacuum and tankers for drainage and waste management tasks.
• Independently manage job sites, ensuring safe practices and high-quality work.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
• Accurately complete job reports and system updates.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance, reporting faults promptly.
• Maintain high health and safety standards, including PPE use and regulatory compliance.
