Job summary

Driver Hire Lancaster is recruiting for reliable drivers to carry out furniture deliveries across the UK to retail hubs and domestic customers. Some routes involve a driver’s mate to assist with loading and unloading, with starts between 06:00 and 07:00.

The role offers potential for ongoing work and a temp-to-perm path for the right candidate. Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 or Class 2 licence, CPC qualification, and Digital Tachograph card, with at least 1 year of HGV experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 or Class 2 Licence is required.
• CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card are required.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver furniture across the UK to retail hubs and domestic customers.
• 2-man work on some routes with a driver’s mate to assist with loading/unloading.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Represent the business professionally at delivery locations.
• Overnight stays up to four nights a week.

• 2 man work – For some routes, you will have a drivers mate to assist with the manual handling and unloading
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
• Representing the business professionally at delivery locations
• Stopping out up to 4 nights a week

0600 – 0700 Starts

Potential for ongoing work/ temp to perm for the right driver

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Class 1 or Class 2 Licence
• CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude
• 1 Year of HGV Class 1 or Class 2 Experience

Please note due to the nature of the work, a good level of fitness is required

This work has the option to become a temp to perm arrangement should it suit you
