Job summary

A HGV Trailer Technician is needed in the Southampton area to inspect, service and repair semi-trailers, ensuring high standards of safety and quality. You will also complete job sheets and coordinate with the service and parts teams.

Salary is up to £44,000 with generous holiday, private healthcare, a company pension and life assurance, plus ongoing training including IRTEC and axle/brake training.

Qualifications

• Experience working with semi-trailers or heavy vehicles.
• IRTEC accreditation is desirable.
• EBS diagnostics experience (Knorr Bremse, Haldex, WABCO).
• Welding certification.
• Experience with axle manufacturers (BPW, SAF, JOST).
• Tail lift & double-deck maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGV trailers.
• Completion of Job Sheets and Documentation.
• Liaising with the Service Department and Parts Department.
• Completion of MOT preparation.

Job description

We are currently seeking a HGV Trailer Technician on behalf of our Client, an Automotive transport solutions company based in the Southampton area.

The successful HGV Trailer Technician can expect a salary of up to £44000 with OTE of circa £50000 and working hours of Monday to Friday 8:30-5 (some flexibility).

• Industry qualifications (City & Guilds or NVQs).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
• IRTEC accreditation. Desired, but not essential.
