We’re looking for an experienced HGV Test Driver & Fitter to join our Test and Development team. You’ll get hands‑on with both diesel and electric vehicles, helping our engineers test, develop and validate vehicles before they make it into production. It’s a varied role combining specialist driving with practical vehicle fitting, diagnostics and fault‑finding, so you’ll see first‑hand how your work contributes to the development of our vehicles.
You’ll bring a strong understanding of HGVs, alongside practical vehicle fitting experience. For this role, you’ll need:
Experience with hydraulic systems, vehicle development and validation, instrumentation or external test organisations such as MIRA or UTAC would be useful, but isn't essential.
This is an opportunity to take your HGV experience beyond day‑to‑day driving or maintenance. You’ll work closely with our engineering teams, helping investigate issues, trial solutions and contribute to the development of both diesel and electric vehicles. The role also includes occasional overseas travel and working at supplier or customer sites when required.
If you enjoy getting hands‑on with vehicles, solving technical problems and want to play a part in developing what comes next, we’d love to hear from you.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Even if you don't meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply. We value potential and are committed to supporting your development.
We recognise the importance of flexibility and offer a range of flexible and hybrid working arrangements where the nature of the role and business needs allow. If you'd like to understand what options may be available for this position, please contact our Recruitment team.
