Job summary

Tru talent in Tamworth is recruiting an experienced HGV Technician to join a professional workshop team. You will maintain and repair a fleet of commercial vehicles, ensuring they are safe, reliable and roadworthy, with access to ongoing training.

The role covers servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs, diagnosing faults with modern equipment, MOT preparation and proper documentation. Shifts are rotating, 45 hours per week, with alternate Saturday mornings on a rota.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent experience.
• Experience as HGV Technician/Mechanic in a dealership or fleet environment.
• Strong diagnostic and fault finding ability.
• Good attention to detail and quality focus.
• Full UK driving licence.
• HGV licence is desirable.
• Experience in a dealership or fleet environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Complete MOT preparation and inspection work
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer and health and safety standards
• Complete accurate job cards and service documentation
• Work effectively as part of a workshop team
• Respond to call outs when on rota
