Job summary

Volvo Trucks Inverness is seeking an HGV Technician to service and repair a variety of trucks from our Inverness workshop. Day shifts with overtime, a £1000 signing bonus, a strong holidays and pension package, life insurance and more are on offer.

You will perform MOT inspections, fault finding, engine and gearbox work, and ensure accurate service documentation. A rewarding team environment and clear progression pathways await you.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
• Previous experience working on HGVs or completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular MOT service inspections on a wide range of manufacturers' trucks.
• Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly.
• Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
• Service customer vehicles and complete service sheets.
• Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license).
• Assist with roadside breakdowns.
• Ensure all vehicle defects are reported.
