Job summary

Volvo Group in the United Kingdom is looking for skilled Technicians to join Volvo Trucks. You will perform regular MOT inspections, fault finding and repairs on engines, gearboxes, brakes and suspension, following Volvo procedures and safety standards.

Friday shift 8.00am - 3.30pm with competitive pay, overtime, bonus schemes and a £1000 signing bonus. Additional benefits include pension, health cover, life insurance, generous holiday allowance and staff car scheme.

Qualifications

A Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
Previous experience working on HGVs or completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry.
Must hold a valid HGV license (if applicable).

Responsibilities

Carry out regular MOT service inspections on a wide range of manufacturers’ trucks and fault finding.
Carry out repairs to a high standard in line with Volvo procedures and safety.
Assist in fault diagnosis and service customer vehicles.
Road test vehicles if you hold an HGV license.
Assist with roadside breakdowns and complete service sheets.
Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately.
Ensure all vehicle defects are reported.
Keep workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well maintained.
Help us in supporting the development of trainees and apprentices.
