Job summary

Breedon Group plc is seeking an enthusiastic HGV Technician to join our West Coast of Scotland team in Dunbeg. You will inspect, maintain, and repair LGVs to ensure safety, roadworthiness, and regulatory compliance, diagnosing faults and carrying out routine servicing.

The role involves testing after repairs, MOT prep, keeping accurate records, and supporting apprentices. A relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and a UK driving licence are essential, with opportunities for training and career

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Proven LGV/HGV technician experience.
• Valid UK driving licence (Cat C or C+E).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service and repair LGVs to DVSA standards.
• Diagnose faults and perform mechanical/electrical repairs.
• Test vehicles after repairs to ensure safety and roadworthiness.
• MOT preparation and post-test inspections.
• Maintain accurate service records and assist apprentices.
