Auto Skills UK in Peterborough is seeking an experienced HGV Technician for a permanent late-shift role. You will service, repair and inspect HGVs and trailers, using manufacturer diagnostic systems and specialist equipment in a professional workshop environment.

We welcome NVQ Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair and prior HGV workshop experience. The role offers overtime rates, enhanced holiday entitlement, a structured progression from Technician to Master Technician, and full-time

Formación

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Previous HGV or commercial vehicle workshop experience.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic fault-finding skills.
• Good attention to detail and a professional approach.
• HGV licence desirable but not essential.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete defect repairs on HGVs and trailers.
• Use manufacturer diagnostic systems and specialist equipment.
• Complete job cards, service sheets and online records.
• Follow manufacturer procedures and warranty requirements.
• Maintain high safety, quality and workmanship standards.
• Work as part of a professional workshop team.

HGV TECHNICIAN - LATE SHIFT

Location: Peterborough

Salary: £19.50 per hour

Hours: Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-12:00am | Friday 12:30pm-10:00pm

Working Week: 45 hours per week

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Are you an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician looking for a permanent late-shift position?

An established commercial vehicle dealership is looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join its professional workshop team in Peterborough.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled Technician looking for a stable long-term role, enhanced overtime rates and excellent training and career progression.

The Role

• Carry out inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Complete defect repairs on HGVs and trailers
• Use manufacturer diagnostic systems and specialist equipment
• Complete job cards, service sheets and online records
• Follow manufacturer procedures and warranty requirements
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and workmanship
• Work as part of a professional workshop team

About You

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Previous HGV or commercial vehicle workshop experience
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic fault-finding skills
• Good attention to detail and pride in your work
• A professional and proactive approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

HGV Licence desirable but not essential.
