Job summary

DPD UK is seeking an experienced HGV Workshop Technician/Mechanic to join our Vehicle Maintenance Unit. You will service and maintain a large fleet of Mercedes, DAF, Dennis, Volvo and Renault trucks and trailers, perform fault diagnostics, MOT preparation and regular inspections, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires experience in heavy goods vehicle maintenance or related fields, Level 3 qualification or time served, and knowledge of vehicle diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy goods vehicle maintenance or similar heavy plant roles.
• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served technician.
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and fault finding.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain DPD's fleet of trucks and trailers.
• Perform fault diagnostics on vehicles.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and routine checks.
• Carry out weekly/monthly inspections and routine maintenance.
• Undertake mechanical and electrical repairs on vehicles.
