Job summary

Interaction Recruitment are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a reputable operation based in Peterborough. This role offers stability, strong earning potential, and long‑term progression within a well‑established team.

The duties include inspections, fault-finding, servicing, MOT preparation, and close collaboration with the Workshop Manager. Applicants should hold Level 3 HVSM and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience across a varied HGV fleet.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Capability to deliver servicing to manufacturer and main dealer standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conducting vehicle inspections and fault-finding diagnostics.
• Completing servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a high standard.
• Preparing HGVs for MOT testing.
• Working efficiently to manage your workload and maintain productivity.
• Liaising with the Workshop Manager to ensure parts are ordered and delivered promptly.
• Maintaining a clean, safe working environment and ensuring equipment longevity.
• Completing all required documentation accurately for each job carried out.
