Job summary

Thomas Hardie Commercials Ltd is seeking a motivated Aftermarket Technician for our Liverpool site. The role involves maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles/trailers, diagnosing faults, testing, and delivering permanent repairs.

You will also handle warranty, contract and retail paperwork, and perform preventative maintenance to reduce customer costs. Applicants should hold an NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or City & Guilds, with experience in servicing and major repairs.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
• Experience in diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repair of vehicles.
• Organised and methodical approach to problem solving with attention to detail.
• Manufacturers training courses undertaken; knowledge of work methods and technical data.
• Full and current UK driving licence; HGV licence preferred but not essential.
• Friendly, confident and professional with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a team or on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair commercial vehicles/trailers, diagnose faults, carry out tests and effect permanent repairs.
• Complete paperwork and procedures relating to warranty, contract and retail work.
• Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise costs for customers.
• Perform other duties as instructed by the manager.
