Job summary
Thomas Hardie Commercials Ltd in Preston is seeking a Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our Aftermarket Department, working Wednesday to Saturday with a 1pm-7pm shift on Wednesdays and 7am-7pm Thursday to Saturday.
Responsibilities include maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles/trailers, fault diagnosis, testing, and completing warranty/contract/retail paperwork. Requires NVQ3/HV maintenance, UK licence; HGV preferred but not essential. We offer competitive pay and benefits.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
- Experience diagnosing, servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles.
- Organised, methodical problem solving with attention to detail.
- Manufacturers training courses and knowledge of technical data.
- Full UK driving licence; HGV licence preferred but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair commercial vehicles/trailers of all types.
- Diagnose faults and carry out tests to ensure permanent repairs.
- Complete paperwork for warranty, contract and retail work.
- Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise costs.
- Work as part of a team or on own initiative as required by the manager.
