Job summary

Logical Personnel Solutions are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a long-established York workshop. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, well-equipped team with ongoing training, overtime opportunities and long-term career progression.

The role involves servicing, maintenance and repairs to HGVs, diagnosing faults, completing inspections and ensuring work meets manufacturer guidelines. A NVQ Level 3 and prior HGV experience are required; own tools preferred.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Previous HGV Technician experience.
• Dealership experience advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to HGVs.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with manufacturer guidelines.

The Role

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to HGVs
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with manufacturer guidelines

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
• Previous HGV Technician experience
• Dealership experience advantageous but not essential
• Own tools preferred

Package

• up to £18.53 per hour basic
• 45-hour working week
• Days shift pattern
• 07.00 - 16.30
• Alternate Saturday mornings paid at time and a half
• Overtime available
