Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Limited in Bristol is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to maintain and repair a specialist fleet of commercial vehicles. This days-based role offers stability, good pay and the chance to develop technical skills within a busy, safety-focused workshop.

The role requires an HGV Level 3 qualification and a Full UK Driving Licence; Class 2 is desirable but not essential. Overtime is paid at 1.5x, and the team values reliable, quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• HGV Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and specialist vehicles, including GSE.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Complete vehicle inspections, brake tests and safety checks.
• Prepare vehicles for compliance inspections and ensure roadworthiness.
• Record repairs and maintenance using workshop management systems.
• Liaise with parts departments to ensure quick repair turnaround.
• Support fleet reliability and minimise downtime.
