Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking an HGV Technician (Class 2) in Cheltenham. You will prepare and present vehicles for MOTs, perform inspections, and carry out planned and reactive maintenance.

The role offers £40,000-£43,000 plus overtime (OTE £56k), with training, flexitime, paid breaks, progression, and company benefits. Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with an emphasis on work-life balance and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HGV technician with maintenance and MOT prep is preferred.
• Ability to carry out inspections and breakdown responses.
• Good understanding of safety standards and workshop procedures.

Responsibilities

• MOT preparation and vehicle presentation.
• Conducting vehicle inspections and planned/reactive maintenance.
• Responding to breakdowns and maintaining fleet vehicles.
• Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm with paid breaks and overtime options.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting vehicles for MOTs, carrying out vehicle inspections, completing reactive and planned maintenance, and responding to vehicle breakdowns.
