Job summary

Müller Milk & Ingredients Distribution in Bristol is hiring an HGV Technician to join the Transport Department. You will inspect and maintain our fleet, prepare vehicles for MOT, and diagnose faults while recording all work carried out.

The role emphasizes safety, quality repairs, and teamwork within a modern fleet operation. The position offers a full-time permanent contract with Monday–Friday patterns (08:00–18:00) and a competitive hourly rate, plus weekend and unsociable-hour premiums.

Qualifications

• Qualifications: City & Guilds part 2 & 3 / BTEC / IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
• Commercial experience on HGVs is essential.
• Class C+E licence preferable but not essential.
• Works well independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain our HGV Fleet.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and transport to test centre.
• Record vehicle defects and keep accurate records of work carried out on each vehicle.
• Repair minor accident damage.
• Carry out fault diagnosis.
• Prioritise safety in all tasks.
