Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd. is seeking an HGV Technician in York to join our established team. You will work a two-week rota covering early and late shifts, with one in two Saturday mornings required.

Saturday work is paid at time and a half, with overtime opportunities. The role offers industry-leading training and a long-term career path within a well-respected commercial vehicle specialist. You will inspect and repair vehicles to DVSA standards, prepare them for MOT testing, diagnose faults

Qualifications

Level 2 or Level 3 vehicle maintenance qualification.
Previous experience as an HGV Technician or commercial vehicle technician.
MOT licence is desirable but not essential.
Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Inspect and repair vehicles to DVSA standards.
Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and present them for inspection.
Carry out fault diagnosis using specialist equipment.
Complete general mechanical and electrical repairs.
Attend breakdowns and carry out off-site repairs when required.
Deliver excellent customer service while helping to keep customers’ vehicles on the road.
