Job summary

Talented People is seeking a qualified HGV Technician for its Beenham fleet maintenance team. The role involves servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs, with a focus on diagnosing faults and completing detailed maintenance records.

The ideal candidate will hold NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent), a current Category C licence, and demonstrable fault-finding experience. Work may require height access and adherence to weight limits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, City & Guilds HGV Parts 1, 2 and 3, or equivalent.
• Current Category C (Class 2) HGV driving licence.
• Practical HGV maintenance and fault-finding experience.
• Comfortable working at height occasionally and meeting the strict 140kg weight limit for this requirement.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete repairs.
• Undertake vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance.

HGV Technician – Beenham

Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum
Hours: Monday–Friday, 07:00–16:30, and alternate Saturdays, 07:00–11:30.

An opportunity is available for a qualified HGV Technician to join a fleet maintenance team based in Beenham.

The Role

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete repairs.

• Undertake vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance.

• Ensure vehicles are maintained safely and efficiently, completing all required records.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, City & Guilds HGV Parts 1, 2 and 3, or equivalent.
