Job summary

Biffa is offering an HGV Technician Apprentice position in Peterborough. You’ll work with experienced technicians to service, maintain and repair our fleet while gaining hands-on skills and industry-recognised qualifications.

This three-year programme focuses on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with strong emphasis on safety and professional workshop practice; a valid Cat B licence is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• holder of a valid Cat B driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair HGVs and LGVs.
• Diagnose and fix vehicle faults.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections.
• Work with electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Follow health and safety best practices in a professional workshop environment.
