Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd seeks a fully qualified HGV Technician for our Didcot-based service unit. You will perform servicing and maintenance to high standards within manufacturer timeframes, driving quality and customer satisfaction in a busy workshop environment.

The role requires IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, and 1–2 years’ post-qualification experience is preferred. An active HGV licence is advantageous but not essential, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• 1–2 years of practical post-qualification experience preferred.
• Active HGV driving licence is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete all service and defined maintenance work to a high standard within manufacturer time schedules.
• Provide professional performance in all workshop activities to retain customers.
• Support colleagues in the workshop with technical issues and innovations.
• Carry out comprehensive diagnosis and repairs of faults.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Document diagnosis/repairs/service/safety inspections.
