Job summary

SUEZ Company in Yate, Gloucestershire, is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our workshop team. You will conduct routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs to maintain high safety and performance standards.

You will work Monday to Friday, 06:30–16:00, with overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate. We offer ongoing training, a comprehensive benefits package, and clear career progression in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV driving licence.
• Basic DBS check will be part of recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing, maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnostics and fault finding on HGVs and articulated vehicles.
• Mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance.

Are you a skilled vehicle technician with experience working on heavy goods vehicles? Due to business growth, we have a rare opportunity to join a small working team in our workshop in Yate where all vehicles are emptied, washed and prepared before entering workshops, with a strong focus on creating an excellent working environment.

The Role

As an HGV Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet to the highest safety and performance standards. Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you'll carry out:

• Routine servicing, maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnostics and fault finding on HGVs and articulated vehicles.
• Mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Ensuring all vehicles remain compliant with DVSA and company standards.
• Accurate completion of job cards and maintenance records.

Our vehicles arrive pre-cleaned and emptied before entering the workshop, allowing you to focus on maintaining and repairing vehicles rather than cleaning them.

What We're Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
• Previous experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• A positive attitude with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV driving licence.
• A Basic DBS check will be part of the recruitment process.
