We are currently seeking a 24 hour call out HGV Technician on behalf of our Client, an Automotive commercial dealership based in the Worthing area.
The successful HGV Fitter can expect a salary of up to £43000 with OTE of circa £70000 with working hours of Monday – Friday: 07:00 to 16:00.
Our Client is looking for a HGV Technician to join their busy team, this is a full-time position and our Client is looking for individuals with previous working experience within the role.

- Weekend call out rota (1 in 2)

Typical Duties for our client include, but are not limited to:
- Diagnose, repair and service the range of manufacturer products in accordance with manufacturer's work specifications.
- Through the use of diagnostic equipment and systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified.
- Meet with customers to identify and clearly understand problems as and when required.
- Ensure full understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
- Carry out diagnosis, repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
- Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.
- Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above work specified.
- Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road testing vehicles after work has been carried out. Liaise with Service Advisor.
- Complete relevant service documentation (job sheets, PDI's, service reports) in line with brand standards, warranty and site requirements.
- Ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are maintained at all times including the use of special and personal tools.
Requirements:
- Be a qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three or equivalent)
- Experience with Commercial Vehicle / HGV Repair
- Competency in IT, Maths and English
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- To be able to work effectively as a team player
- Full UK Driving Licence
