Job summary

A leading company in sustainable transport solutions is looking for a Level 3 qualified HGV or LCV Technician to join their Faversham dealership. You will be responsible for efficient repairs, diagnostic accuracy, and applying your technical knowledge to ensure customer satisfaction. This role offers 40 hours per week with opportunities for professional growth and additional benefits like employee discounts and development programs.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualified HGV Technician or LCV Technician required.
  • Significant experience as a Dealership Technician in the Commercial vehicle industry.
  • Good knowledge of VOSA requirements and MOT testers manual.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure work is carried out efficiently, following Service Process Maps.
  • Provide diagnostic outcomes and specify repair solutions accurately.
  • Record time procedures correctly as per productivity policy.

Skills

Education

What you will do

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Renault Truck Commercials Network - RTC in Faversham, Kent.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Level 3 qualified HGV Technician or Level 3 qualified LCV Technician to join our thriving and busy Kent Dealership.

Main Duties:
  • Shifts: 40 hours per week
  • Early Shift 06:00 - 14:30 | Late Shift 13:30 - 22:00
  • Alternate Saturdays 06:00 - 12:00
  • Extra payments for Saturday mornings, Standby, and Call Out
  • Ensure work is carried out efficiently, following Service Process Maps
  • Brief on job requirements and budgets per up-front job specifications
  • Provide diagnostic outcomes and specify repair solutions accurately
  • Record time procedures correctly, including codes as per productivity policy
  • Ensure jobs are fully specified for invoicing by CSR
Knowledge:
  • Significant experience as a Dealership Technician in the Commercial vehicle industry
  • Good knowledge of VOSA requirements and MOT testers manual
  • Application of Standard Times
  • Knowledge of Service Process stages relevant to the role
  • Understanding of customer needs, environmental impact, and business influence
  • Technical product knowledge
Required Competences:
  • City and Guilds, NVQ 3 or equivalent in Commercial Vehicle Technology - HGV or LCV
  • Organized and methodical work approach ensuring tasks are completed
  • Ability to adapt approach to specific circumstances
  • Ability to analyze technical issues and propose solutions
  • Basic Microsoft Outlook knowledge
  • 25 days of annual leave, increasing with service
