Job summary

Renault Truck Commercials in Kent is seeking an experienced HGV/LCV technician to join the RTC network at our Faversham dealership. The role involves carrying out diagnostic and repair work, following service process maps and ensuring accurate time recording for invoicing.

We require City & Guilds/NVQ3 or equivalent in Commercial Vehicle Technology, with dealership experience in heavy vehicles. The position offers a 40-hour week, with shifts and additional payments for Saturdays and standby.

• NVQ3/City & Guilds or equivalent in Commercial Vehicle Technology (HGV/LCV).
• Experience as a dealership technician for commercial vehicles.
• Knowledge of MOT/VOSA requirements and service process stages.

Main Duties

An excellent opportunity to join the the Renault Truck Commercials Network – RTC in Faversham, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Level 3 qualified HGV Technician or Level 3 LCV Technician to join our thriving and busy Kent Dealership.

Shifts

• 40 hour week
• Pay is up to £21 pr hr
• Early Shift 06:00 – 14:30
• Late Shift 13:30 – 22:00
• Alternate Saturday’s 06.00-12.00
• Extra payments for Saturday mornings, Standby and Call Out

Responsibilities summary

• Ensure your work is carried out as efficiently as possible and you are following the Service Process Maps
• Ensure you are fully briefed on job requirements and budgets per up-front job specifications
• Provide diagnostic outcomes and accurately specify repair solutions
• Ensure time recording procedures are complied with including correct use of codes as per productivity policy
• Ensure fully specified jobs are given to CSR for invoicing

Knowledge

• Significant experience of working as a Dealership Technician within the Commercial vehicle industry
• Good knowledge of VOSA requirements and MOT testers manual. The application of Standard Times
• Knowledge of the Service Process stages relevant to the role An appreciation of our customers, the environment in which they operate and the direct impact we can have on their business

Required Competences

• City and Guilds, NVQ 3 or equivalent in Commercial Vehicle Technology HGV / LCV
• To be able to work in an organised & methodical manner ensuring that all daily tasks are completed
• To be able to modify your approach in specific circumstances to ensure a positive outcome
• To be able to understand & analyse technical issues & propose appropriate solutions
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
