Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited has a vacancy for an experienced HGV Technician in Nairn. You will service and maintain a fleet of vehicles, diagnose faults across electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems, and perform MOT testing duties if qualified.

A full UK driving licence and valid HGV Class 1 or 2 is required. The role offers a 42,000 base salary with a 1,500 sign-on bonus, overtime opportunities at enhanced rates, and excellent benefits including 25 days’ holiday and pension.

Qualifications

• NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent required.
• Proof of certificates must be shown before start.
• HGV Class 1 or 2 license and full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles.
• Diagnose faults in electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• MOT testing duties if qualified.

HGV Technician Role:

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, this work may include warranty approved work in line with our brand parameters
• Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified)

HGV Technician Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or Mechanical Engineering level 3 (or equivalent)
• Must have proof of certificate as they will be requested & needed before starting
• HGV Class 1 or 2 license is needed for this role
• Must hold a full UK driving licence
