Job summary

Tru Talent is seeking an experienced HGV Technician/Mechanic to join a professional workshop in Gloucester. You will service and repair HGVs, LGVs and trailers, working within a well-equipped environment.

The role offers regular overtime and private healthcare, with ongoing training and a clear career path. Ideal candidates have Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualifications, a full UK driving licence, and experience with DVSA standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, LGV Fitter or HGV Fitter within a commercial vehicle environment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence; Class 1 licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing HGVs, LGVs and commercial vehicles to DVSA and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults on HGVs, trailers and LGVs.
• Completing inspections, maintenance and documentation accurately.
• Supporting workshop productivity and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
• Staying up to date with technical training and new technology as a Commercial Vehicle Technician.

Hours: Monday-Friday | Early/late shifts 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00

What You Will Need

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, LGV Fitter or HGV Fitter within a commercial vehicle environment
• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification (NVQ / City & Guilds / IMI or equivalent)
• Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Class 1 licence (desirable)
