Job summary

HGV Technician role in Exeter for a busy commercial vehicle workshop. You will maintain and repair a varied UK rental fleet, carrying out servicing, diagnostics and repairs to manufacturer standards.

A full UK driving licence and relevant heavy-vehicle qualifications are required; Class C/CE licence is advantageous. The role offers a structured training programme, progression towards Master Technician, 25 days annual leave, pension and life assurance, plus access to employee benefits and

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing, inspections and maintenance on heavy commercial vehicles
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and technical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Completing repairs to manufacturer standards across HGV and commercial vehicle systems
• Supporting breakdown, roadside or rota requirements where applicable and maintaining high levels of customer service

Job description

HGV Technician role for a skilled and motivated technician to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop, maintaining and repairing one of the UK’s largest and most varied rental fleets.

Must have the right to work in the UK. A full UK driving licence is required, and a Class C or CE licence would be highly advantageous.

Location: Exeter

Pay / salary: Up to £45,000 basic per annum, overtime paid at enhanced rates and annual salary reviews

Job type: Permanent / full-time role

Shift and schedule: Monday to Friday, no weekend shifts, with overtime opportunities available
