Job summary

Veolia UK is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our Dover fleet. You will perform day-to-day service, MOT preparation and repairs to keep our HGVs on the road and safe for customers.

You'll carry out routine inspections, maintenance, fault finding and repairs, complete paperwork, and attend roadside breakdowns when required. 40-hour week, up to £45,635 salary plus bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification or equivalent.
• HGV driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day service, MOT preparation and repairs of HGVs.
• Keep HGVs safely on the road for customers.
• Carry out routine vehicle inspections, maintenance, fault finding and repairs.
• Repair and maintain Veolia Fleet and 3rd-party vehicles per standards.
• Ensure paperwork and timesheets are completed accurately.
• Attend roadside breakdowns when required.

What you'll be doing

• Day‑to‑day service, MOT preparation and repairs of our HGVs
• Keep our HGVs safely on the road so street‑side operatives can carry out their duties for our customers
• Carry out routine vehicle inspections, routine maintenance, fault finding and repairs to ensure fleet reliability and safety
• Repair and maintain the Veolia Fleet, 3rd‑party vehicles and plant in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards
• Ensure all necessary paperwork and timesheets are completed accurately
• Attend roadside breakdowns when required

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter/Technician with an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification or equivalent
• Hold a HGV driving licence
