Job summary

Veolia in Dover is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to perform day-to-day service, MOT preparation and repairs on our fleet of HGVs.

You will keep vehicles roadworthy to support our street-level operations, conduct routine inspections, maintenance and fault finding, and repair Veolia and third-party vehicles in line with manufacturer standards. You’ll complete paperwork and attend roadside breakdowns when required.

Qualifications

• HGV qualification or equivalent required.
• HGV driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day service, MOT preparation and repairs of HGVs.
• Keep HGVs on the road to support operations.
• Carry out routine inspections, maintenance, fault finding and repairs.
• Repair and maintain Veolia Fleet, third-party vehicles and plant per standards.
• Ensure paperwork and timesheets are completed accurately.
• Attend roadside breakdowns as needed.

What you'll be doing;

• You will be responsible for the day to day service, MOT preparation and repairs of our HGV's.
• You will keep our HGV's safely on the road, so our street side operatives can carry out their duties for our millions of customers.
• Responsible for carrying out routine vehicle inspections, routine maintenance, fault finding and repairs to ensure our fleet is reliable, available and safe.
• Repair and maintain the Veolia Fleet, 3rd party vehicles and plant in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Ensure that all necessary paperwork, and time sheets are completed accurately.
• Attend roadside breakdowns when required.

What we're looking for;

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter/Technician ideally with an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification or equivalent.
• Hold a HGV driving licence.
