Job summary

We Are Workforce Ltd in Evesham is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our growing workshop.

You'll service, repair and diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults on HGVs and trailers, prepare vehicles for MOT, and maintain DVSA-compliant standards. This is a permanent full-time role with overtime opportunities and a modern, well-equipped workshop.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Good knowledge of DVSA standards and vehicle compliance.
• Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential).
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure DVSA compliance.
• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out emergency repairs when required.
• Keep accurate service and repair records.
• Work safely and with drivers and workshop colleagues.

We’re looking for askilled, reliable and motivated technicianto join our maintenance team in Evesham.

You’ll play a vital role in keeping our HGV fleet and trailerssafe, roadworthy, compliant and operating at its best.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
• Diagnose and repairmechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure they meet all legal and DVSA requirements.
• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out emergency repairs when required.
• Keep accurate service, inspection and repair records.
• Work safely and professionally in line with company procedures.
• Work closely with drivers, transport managers and the wider workshop team.

What We're Looking For

You’ll ideally have:

• Proven experience as anHGV Mechanic, HGV Technician or Heavy Vehicle Technician.
• A relevantLevel 2/3 NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalentqualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Good knowledge ofDVSA standards and vehicle compliance.
• The ability to work independently while being a strong team player.
• A full UK driving licence.HGV licence desirable but not essential.
• Good communication, organisation and attention to detail.

Even Better If You Have

• Experience working across a range of commercial vehicle manufacturers.
• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence.
• IRTEC accreditation.
• Experience using electronic diagnostic equipment.
