Qualifications

• Fully skilled with Level 3 HGV / PSV qualification.
• Technician level experience required.
• Minimum of a car/van driving licence; HGV licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles in compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Perform scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections.

HGV Technician - Joining Bonus of £1,500 !!

Biffa Waste - Carlisle Depot

Salary: £19.22p/h

Shift Pattern: 06:00 - 15:30 / 08:00 - 15:00 rotating weekly. Overtime & Call Out Available

Monday to Friday (45hrs per week)

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles and waste management handling equipment in compliance with health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements.
• Perform scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to meet operator’s licence commitments.
• Work with a diverse fleet ranging from light commercial vans to 44t articulated assets, providing ample learning and development opportunities.

Candidate Requirements

• Fully skilled with a Level 3 HGV / PSV apprentice qualification, City and Guilds, or NVQ Qualification.
• Technician level experience.
• Minimum of a car/van driving licence; HGV licence and IRTEC qualification desirable.
