Qualifications

• Previous experience as HGV Technician, PSV Mechanic, or similar roles preferred.
• Driver's license required; HGV license and IRTEC qualification desirable.
• Skilled or semi-skilled technicians encouraged to apply.

HGV Technician - Joining Bonus of £1,500 !!

Biffa Waste - Carlisle Depot

Salary: £19.22p/h

Shift Pattern: 06:00 - 15:30 / 08:00 - 15:00 rotating weekly. Overtime & Call Out available.

Monday to Friday (45 hrs per week)

Role Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles and waste management handling equipment in compliance with health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements.
• Perform scheduled preventative inspections to meet operator’s licence commitments.
• Work with a diverse fleet, from light commercial vans to 44t articulated assets, providing opportunities to develop technical skills.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous roles such as PSV Mechanic, Heavy Goods Technician, Lorry Mechanic, LGV Technician, HGV Technician, or HGV Mechanic preferred.
• Skilled or semi-skilled technicians are encouraged to apply; training and career development opportunities available.
• Full Level 3 HGV / PSV apprenticeship, City and Guilds, or NVQ qualification required.
• Driver's license (car/van) required; HGV license and IRTEC qualification desirable.
