Job description

HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

Depot Location: Blaydon

Working Hours: GBP 17.85 per hour

1. Week 1: 7am - 4:30pm
2. Week 2: 11am - 8:30pm (Saturday mornings 7am to 12 midday, GBP 26.77 per hour)

Contract Type: Full time / Permanent role

Financial Package: GBP [phone number removed] to GBP 48,000 per annum

Our client, a well-established business in the HGV industry, is actively seeking to employ an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter on a rotating shift basis.

In this role, working within an established team, you will be responsible for:

1. Conducting thorough vehicle inspections in line with 'O' licence requirements
2. Performing repairs identified during inspections
3. General servicing and MOT preparation
4. Fault finding & diagnostics
5. Updating all necessary paperwork and databases

The ideal candidate will possess:

1. Full industry qualifications and completion of a recognized apprenticeship
2. Detailed knowledge of Truck & Trailer Maintenance
3. A commercial licence is advantageous but not essential
4. Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, maintenance, and repair
