Alecto Recruitment is helping an Ashford-based main dealer workshop recruit an HGV Technician. Offering a competitive £36k–£44k salary with overtime and callout potential, and a choice of early or late shifts. Based in Ashford, Kent, with a requirement to work every other Saturday.

£16.00-£19.50 per hour DOE and full-time shifts, with main dealer training available to develop skills and career progression.

Qualifications

• Qualified HGV technician with up-to-date certifications.
• Recent hands-on experience with heavy goods vehicles essential.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, diagnostics and repairs on HGVs.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections.
• Adhere to workshop procedures and health & safety standards.

SHIFT PATTERNS

• Early Shift: Monday-Thursday: 07:00-15:30 / Friday: 07:00-14:30
• Late Shift: Monday-Thursday: 15:30-00:00 / Friday: 14:30-22:00
• Saturday (Every other week): 07:00-16:00
• 30-minute unpaid lunch break included within shifts.
